COST & PRICING

How much does an unpacking service cost in Bangalore?

Team Simply Unpack · 2 September 2026 · 6 min read

An unpacking and home setup service in Bangalore costs between ₹6,999 for a 1 BHK on the Essential plan and ₹29,999 for a 4 BHK on the Complete plan, with most 2 and 3 BHK homes landing between ₹14,999 and ₹21,999. Room-by-room pricing starts at ₹999, with a minimum booking value of ₹4,999. Deep cleaning, pest control and installations are charged separately.

Almost every enquiry we get opens with the same question, and it is a fair one. Unpacking is not a service most people in Bangalore have bought before, so there is no reference price in anyone’s head. This is what the number is actually made of.

What you pay for a full home

Packages are priced by home size, because home size is the closest proxy for how many cartons arrive and how many hours the work takes. Current early bird rates:

  • 1 BHK — Essential ₹6,999 (up to 25 cartons), Complete ₹9,999 (up to 35 cartons)
  • 2 BHK — Essential ₹9,999 (up to 35 cartons), Complete ₹14,999 (up to 55 cartons)
  • 3 BHK — Essential ₹14,999 (up to 50 cartons), Complete ₹21,999 (up to 75 cartons)
  • 4 BHK — Essential ₹19,999 (up to 65 cartons), Complete ₹29,999 (up to 95 cartons)
  • 4+ BHK, villas and independent houses — quoted after a survey, since carton volume, floors and access vary too much for a fixed number

That covers unpacking every carton, putting things away room by room, setting up the kitchen and wardrobes, removing the cartons and packing waste, and a written quality check before handover. It does not include cleaning, pest control or installations.

What you pay for individual rooms

Not everyone wants the whole house done. Room pricing lets you hand over the two or three rooms you dread and keep the rest.

  • Kitchen — ₹3,999
  • Master bedroom — ₹2,999
  • Bedroom — ₹2,499
  • Living room — ₹2,999
  • Kids room — ₹2,999
  • Study or office — ₹2,499
  • Dining area — ₹1,999
  • Utility area — ₹1,499
  • Store room — ₹1,499
  • Balcony — ₹999

The kitchen is the most expensive room and the one people most often outsource. It is also the room that takes longest — unwrapping, washing and arranging crockery and utensils is several hours of work on its own. There is more on that in our kitchen and wardrobe setup service.

What changes the price

Volume, not just square footage

Two 3 BHK flats can differ by forty cartons. A family that has lived in one place for eight years has substantially more to unpack than a couple moving for the second time in three years. Where the count is unusually high, the quote moves.

Access

No service lift, a fourth-floor walk-up, or a society that only allows moves between 10 AM and 4 PM all add hours. Bangalore societies vary enormously on this and it is worth checking your rules before you book.

Add-ons

These are priced separately because not everyone needs them:

  • Pest control — ₹2,499 flat
  • Deep cleaning — ₹2,499 per kitchen, ₹999 per bathroom
  • Fan and fixture cleaning — ₹249 per fan
  • TV wall mounting — ₹1,499 to ₹3,999 by size

If you are taking several of these, the bundled Concierge packages usually work out cheaper than adding them one by one.

Is it worth it against doing it yourself?

The honest comparison is not money against zero. Unpacking a 3 BHK yourself is roughly three weekends, and most people do not finish — they get the kitchen and the beds done and live around a stack of boxes in the spare room for two months. If you value your weekends at anything, ₹14,999 for a finished home in two days is not a hard sum.

The case for doing it yourself is real too. If you are moving a small flat, you have time off, and you actually want to handle your own things, you do not need us. Where a service pays for itself is when you are moving mid-job, moving with small children, or moving into Bangalore from another city and cannot be there.

What packers and movers do not cover

This trips up a lot of people. A movers contract typically ends when sealed cartons are inside your flat. Unpacking, arranging, disposing of the cartons, and any setup work is outside it. Some movers offer unpacking as a line item, but it usually means opening boxes and stacking contents on the floor rather than putting your home together.

The distinction matters on handover day, when the movers leave and the flat is full of sealed boxes. Our unpacking and home setup service is built for exactly that moment.

Frequently asked questions

How much does unpacking cost for a 2 BHK in Bangalore?

A 2 BHK unpacking and home setup package in Bangalore is ₹9,999 on the Essential plan and ₹14,999 on the Complete plan. Both cover unpacking every carton, setting up the kitchen and wardrobes, clearing the packing waste and a room-by-room quality check at the end.

Is unpacking included in packers and movers charges?

No. Packers and movers price for packing, transport and delivery. Most contracts stop at placing sealed cartons inside your flat. Unpacking, arranging and disposing of the packing material is a separate service.

How long does unpacking a home take?

A 1 to 2 BHK is usually finished in a day. A 3 BHK takes one to two days, and a 4 BHK or villa two to three, depending on how much is in the cartons and whether installations are involved.

Can I pay for only one or two rooms?

Yes. Room-by-room pricing runs from ₹999 for a balcony to ₹3,999 for a kitchen, with a minimum booking value of ₹4,999, so you can take the rooms you do not want to deal with and handle the rest yourself.

Does the price include deep cleaning and pest control?

Not in the standard package. Pest control is ₹2,499 and deep cleaning is ₹2,499 per kitchen and ₹999 per bathroom. The Concierge packages bundle both in.
