Information we collect
- Contact details — name, phone number, email address.
- Property details — address, home size, floor, lift access, move date.
- Service details — inventory information, rooms, add-ons and preferences you share with us.
- Photographs taken during the work and at handover, used as a record of the setup.
- Payment information processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card details.
- Website usage data — pages visited, device and browser type, referring source.
Why we use it
- To prepare quotes and confirm bookings.
- To plan, staff and deliver the service at your property.
- To carry out the quality check and share handover records with you.
- To process payments and issue invoices.
- To respond to enquiries and support requests.
- To improve our services and the website.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Legal basis
We process your data to perform the service contract with you, to meet legal obligations, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service. Where required, we rely on your consent — for example, marketing messages, which you can withdraw at any time.
Sharing
We share only what is necessary, and only with: field teams and vetted service partners assigned to your job; payment and invoicing providers; communication and scheduling tools we use to run the business; and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.
Photographs
Handover photographs are taken for quality assurance and are shared with you. We use them for marketing only with your explicit permission, and identifying details are removed.
Retention
We retain booking and service records for as long as needed to deliver the service and to meet legal, tax and dispute-resolution requirements. After that, records are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict how we use it, or opt out of marketing. Write to hello@simplyunpack.com. To delete your account and associated data, use the Delete Account page.
Security
Access to customer data is limited to people who need it to do their job. We use reputable providers for storage, communication and payments, and review access periodically.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
